Child Abduction and Relocation

We represent parents in this country and abroad in Hague Convention cases where children have been removed from their country of residence without parental consent.

We are members of the Government panel of approved solicitors specialising in Child Abduction, and we are also on the Reunite list of approved solicitors (www.reunite.org)

If you believe there is a risk of your child being taken abroad by a relative without your consent we can act quickly in an emergency to obtain Court Orders to prevent the removal.

We will liaise with the police and other authorities to obtain Port Alerts to prevent your child from being taken out of the country.

We can advise on the possibility of wardship proceedings if the country is not a party to the Hague Convention. We have experience of acting in cases where there are allegations of “forced marriage” or “honour killing”.

We have links with law firms in other countries and will sometimes be able to refer you to foreign law firms if you need to take proceedings there.
